Biography.
The Story of Yousef is not so unlike any other man...

He was born a cold february midday in a hospital of his hometown of Örebro in Sweden. It was the 7th of that month in the year of 1979. A very cold day it was, Luckily for Yousef he had a roof over his head and two loving parents who could take good care of him. Yousef and his parents lived in Örebro for another two years before they decided to move to Pakistan. Starting school at the age of 4 there,he basically remembers nothing of his life before school.

In school he was a terrible student when it came to beeing diciplined, grades how ever, was the best in the class. With two years of school in Pakistan he and the family, which by this time also was a sister richer, moved back to Sweden again.
As a child Yousef wanted to be a pilot because he dreamed about flying very often. That did not happen. In school he showed a talent for drawing and it looked like that could be his destiny,.. But no, that did not happen eighter.It was as late as in the second year of highschool on a lunchconcert in Risbergskaskolan where Yousef finally knew what he was meant to do.With the song “You gotta love someone” by Elton John he impressed friends,other students and teachers in the school so much that he was chosen to participate in the springconcert the two following years, doing solo performances.

That led to some other minor gigs and the musical “Grease” in Örebro in 1998. He played a greaser in the ensemble which played for a full house every show. After attending civilservice in the army for five months doing firefighting, Yousef went a to Musical prep. School in Bjärnum in the south of Sweden. After a year there he went on to the “Balettacademy” in Göteborg in 2000. There he was singing, dancing and acting for two and a half years. It would have been three if he hadn´t gotten a contract for playing a vampire in Germany.

Stuttgart was the place for the Roman Polanski directed musical “Tanz der Vampire”, based on his movie from the 60´s called “The Fearless Vampire Killers”. Yousef went on to do the show also in Hamburg when it moved there in the Autum of 2003. In total Yousef did over 400 shows in theese 20 months. Following jobs were as a Soloist in a show on the cruiseship M/S Viktoria in 2005. And Soloist on a Hotel in Cyprus in a show created by 2Entertain in 2006. Since then Yousef has made various small gigs and a choirtrip to Canada in 2008, where he made his first classical performance with a few lines in an Icelandic patriotic song called “Rís Ìslands Fání” Yousef is currently living in Iceland and learning Opera.
